Enable inline images
There is an inability to add images inline with the text of a post; they are all bunched together at the end of the post. This means people reading posts that refer to multiple images don't know which image is being referred to as they read the post, or the author has to write 'refer fig.1; refer fig.2' and so on.

This is a feature in Dynamic Signal, when will Yammer support this if you were building this in 2019?

Psst - it's Jan 2021...

Putting images in line with text is not a new concept and seems like an obvious change which would greatly enhance Yammer's usability. I have people on my team opting to not use Yammer for this reason alone even though it is otherwise a good communication tool. Please consider prioritizing this change.

Lets make yammer open source , to get the development up to speed.

Not having the ability to post inline images is hurting our uptake of Yammer for business notifications. We have a need to use a specific banner at the top of each notification for different situations and as others have said below, it's an issue for us in a similar way.
The only way I can replicate what I need is to create my content in Word, take a screenshot and post an image of the notification which then people can't copy/paste or click on hyperlinks if required.

Here's another sucker new to yammer that didn't even consider that this was not a possibility. I just had a whole communication approved to be published only to realise that what I presented to my manager can't be produced in yammer. This is a joke... Microsoft surelly can do better than this! You say you are working on this for the last 10 months? Please work harder. Please.

Still no inline image support. You cannot be serious ... This feature is so basic ?!

Yes this would greatly improve the CX/UX - images provide further clarity to conversations but need to be in context!

I am facing the same issue. This made the post/announcement not so organised and it can be confusing for reader.

Agreed...this is ridiculous on why this functionality hasn't been fixed. It is a joke. Screen shots for directions, informational pictures for troubleshooting, etc. Jesus...come on.

We are interested in doing this for diagnostics / screen grabs etc across mutliple timezones.
eg. Slack equivilent etc.I am surprised that there is no formatting for code. Or github/gist inclusion.

Will this also fix the issue with open graph images from SharePoint online not beeing displayed because og_image embeds beeing redirected through thumbnails.yammer.com. This has been "work in progress" since 2016 :(

Three years since the last status update? Cindy has presumably moved on, does anyone else at Microsoft want to post a status update?
We started using Yammer groups for support, but the lack of inline images makes reporting "steps to reproduce" with screen shots or giving users detailed instructions with screenshots impossible.

I run a training group in my org and would like to be able to do step-by-step training with screenshots as Yammer posts. I've attempted a few so far (i.e. with the photos bunched up at the end of the post) but they are less helpful since the user can't see the screenshot inline with the accompanying text instruction.

This should be a simple fix. Why is it taking so long?!
