I'd like Yammer to...

Turn off Yammer welcome #joined

Admin should be able to turn off the automatic posting of new members. "Chris Christensen has #joined the gk.no network. Take a moment to welcome Niklas-Aleksander." this message bugs down the posts since we have hundreds joining every week. The users would like to see the content, not all the new joiners. When the network is more mature we could turn it on again.

We plan to build this  ·  AdminEmma Beede (Admin, Yammer) responded  ·

Networks with more than 1000 members will not see the #joined message, but it’s currently in place for smaller networks. We’ve heard this request a lot and are currently rethinking our #joined message.

Yes please, please do this! We are being asked to find a way around it and while we have found a way, we would rather not have to implement that.

Please do this. We are at around 300 users and would really love to see this go away!

Or what about collapsing these posts. eg. you might see one of these join posts a day in your feed, and when you click to see more on that post, it reveals all the other posts where people have joined on that day

A million times yes! This #joined feature is a massive turnoff for any organization of more than 100 users. It make the signal to noise ratio make people think "why should I use this"?
