Turn off Yammer welcome #joined
Admin should be able to turn off the automatic posting of new members. "Chris Christensen has #joined the gk.no network. Take a moment to welcome Niklas-Aleksander." this message bugs down the posts since we have hundreds joining every week. The users would like to see the content, not all the new joiners. When the network is more mature we could turn it on again.
Yammer #joined is now off for all networks!

How do you turn it back on again???
Our HRM department really wants this feature
Good news folks, these messages are now off.

Hi! any update? When do you apply this? it's necessary!!
This is causing concern for HR. When new staff accounts are set up in our system; Yammer broadcasts it before it's been officially announced.

Beginning December 20 2019 these messages will not be posted anymore according to official MC193453 announcement. Check your admin messages.

It would be great as a company to have the choice to turn this off or not! What's the status please?
We have integrated the Yammer web part on our Intranet home page but these Joiner notifications are really not great and therefor the real Yammer conversations disappear in thin air...
Also we have more than 1000 members and we still see the messages appear :-(
Yes please, turn this feature off. Any update would be great?
Please implement this.
Any updates from 2017 - a terrible feature for any Yammer launch. Admins should be able disable this it's killing the live feed...

Any update? This feature is quite a lot of time being asked by clients. There is a solution to build the removal with Flow. Although, using Flow is blocked sometimes in specific area's. When onboarding a new organization to Yammer it is quite a pollution in the all company feed.
You should be able to opt out of these #joined messages. Getting so many of these has caused me to just delete all yammer notices. It is so unbelievably annoying.

Definitely needs to be implemented.

I am also voting for it! Admins should have capability to turn it off.

Hi Admin, can you please follow up on some of these other similar requests? Can you add the 210 votes to this one to make for 258 votes total as of January 2019?
120 Votes: This one says "We are considering this": https://yammer.uservoice.com/forums/399627-yammer/suggestions/15850816-an-option-to-disable-welcome-messages
90 Votes: This one is another duplicate request https://office365.uservoice.com/forums/264636-general/suggestions/31561489-yammer-joined-the-company-network-messages
Any update on this? We have over 1016 members in the network but are still getting the #joined messages.
If you are running O365 shouldn't you use your O365 license count to determine if someone is big enough for this to go away? Please make it stop.
Emma Beede, do you still work there? Do you know who is handling this task. Hmmm similar post says "We're considering This" some years ago

As long as it's an admin toggle--we're still a small enough org that the #joined message is helpful versus a burden. I appreciate being able to post a personal Welcome comment with a link to a How To guide for each new user.
We have over 3000 employees but only 876 Yammer members at this point. It's chicken and eg for us, we want to promote it further but people keep complaining about the joined messages. It will be great once we reach 1000, but we should be able to turn it off now. How All Company channel is completely spammed with the joined messages because we have a very high turn over rate (manufacturing company - lots of contractors and transient workers).
We're starting to rollout Yammer and this is the biggest complaint to date! Makes it very difficult to roll out a product when we have zero control of what gets automatically posted and emailed to all users...
