I'd like Yammer to...

I would like a feed of just the groups I've joined and people I follow.

I believe the "Following" tab used to do this, but now it's just conversations I follow. I have no interest in clicking group to group, I want to get all my updates in a single feed with no extra noise.

We have read your feedback on the request for feed of groups you have joined and people you follow.
[EDIT] Clarification on Following Feed related to earlier comment: The following feed does not show conversations from your groups.
We had made improvements to the following feed in Yammer in February earlier this year to bring more focus to people and topics on Yammer. The improvements were focused on helping surface content from people, topics and files you follow. To help surface that content we no longer show conversations from your groups in the following feed. Groups in the left nav will continue to show indicators for new content you have not seen. For more details refer to the Message Center post : 26543

If you have access to the external Yammer group - Yammer Service Updates Microsoft ...

...there's a post by Christine Stack – February 9, 2018 at ‎09‎:‎44‎ ‎PM, that has lots of discussion on this

Also another post in the same external group by Nicol Hanekom February 27 at ‎06‎:‎06‎ ‎PM

Wow so you guys made the 'Following' feed stop showing posts from groups that a user is 'following'..... I'm almost speechless... Please add a new feed that only shows posts from groups, people, and topics that the user is following. You can call it whatever you like, just please add this feed.

Echoing Nicol's comment below--- this could be the final straw in what will make us drop Yammer as well- we need a feed that is for just the groups you belong to and the option to sort that feed chronologically!

This absolutely killed Yammer in our organization (14,000 users) and we are close to pulling the plug. People do not like the All feed because it contains things they are not interested in. The Following feed now only contains conversations you have previously replied to or people you follow, if any. People do not want to click on each group to see updates.
I struggle to see how you can call the change in behavior of the following feed an "improvement". If you do not want to change it back, then give us a separate view that includes this.

More options please so that each individual can make it more valuable for themselves by being able to focus on the content they are most interested in - not what Yammer/Microsoft is most interested in me seeing. Please! and Thank you.

Agree! If you join a group, you should of course see the posts from that group in your feed. This change makes most of our users see just the All Company feed on our intranet start page, and that’s not where the real value of Yammer is. Please shift back as soon as possible.

The challenge with "enterprise social networking" vehicles like Yammer is that they only work if you have a crowd, and they only provide value if you see input from that entire crowd.

Changing that mechanism to only show information from the individuals you choose to follow implies there is no more crowd i.e. you are missing out on the information the crowd as a whole - in the domain or specific area you are interested in - are truly talking about.

    Please change back asap.

Agree! What’s the point of joining a group if you don’t get to see the posts.

This definitely should be standard functionality and really should be part of the "Following" feed. Although I would be ok with a fourth view which shows only conversations from groups I'm following.
