However, it sounds like this is a symptom of a problem with skimming a thread, we're exploring some other options that might solve this.
This was done to help our customers against some known security vulnerabilities. Now, each email address a notification comes from is random. However, you can set an email rule to email@example.com or even just @yammer.com to create rules for Yammer notifications in your email. All notifications will come from a @yammer.com address.

We are looking to align Yammer external group membership to the O365 guest model where, when allowed by the tenant admin, groups don’t need to be created as an external group in order to accept external users.
@Ulf Wallmann - we don't have a timeline for this yet. We are just starting to scope the work - early estimates point to this taking a year or longer.

-Private message delete: I agree, this is odd. I’ll bring this up with our team working on messages within Yammer. I realize this isn’t a solution, but for what it’s worth, you can delete private messages from the Yammer mobile app.

Re: deleting private messages from web - we are currently weighing the priority of this against other features and projects. In the meantime, you can still delete private messages from the mobile app.
This is no longer prioritized, but we’re working on a few new improvements to your groups list. We may revisit this in the future.

Hi @email@example.com, things that are upvoted on UserVoice is not meant to be a prioritized list of things - UserVoice is just one way that we listen and learn to our customers. We also conduct qualitative interviews, do data exploration, and A/B test features. We also need to be looking ahead at all the innovative opportunities we have to create more value for our users. Unfortunately, we can't build everything at once so we have to prioritize.
