Teams replaces the deleted message with "This message has been deleted. Undo" and leaves the replies in place. I propose that be done instead of deleting the entire conversation.

You could add a "Delete conversation" option to the first message of a conversation for admins, which would delete all posts within a conversation.

    Workaround:
o Hide the conversation, but realize it can still show up and is accessible via search.
o If an admin, delete all the posts one at a time.

Inline images is what I really want, but allowing me to set the order would be next. The least you could do is make the order deterministic (order uploaded would be good).

Three years since the last status update? Cindy has presumably moved on, does anyone else at Microsoft want to post a status update?

We started using Yammer groups for support, but the lack of inline images makes reporting "steps to reproduce" with screen shots or giving users detailed instructions with screenshots impossible.

Pinning an announcement to the top probably requires some extra functionality, like letting us indicate a "pin expiration date" and collapsing all responses while it is pinned into a "Show <x> replies" entry, so they can be shown if desired. Once the pinned date and time have passed, it would then behave as all other conversations, where it is no longer pinned to the top and it shows the most recent two replies.

Seems like a good way to reduce noise. For example, a message about parking for an event this weekend could be set to expire the following Monday, at which time it would just be noise if left in the group.

Broadly, we’re considering how users can signal to us content they’d like to see less of. Thank you for the insight about how this would be useful to you!

Mute Group should do more than just mute it from the All feed.

    Proposed Mute Group features:
o Activity does not show in All nor fire email notifications.
    o Button below Join/Joined for Mute/Unmute.
o Visual indicator in my group's list and Discover Groups page that a group is muted.
    (line through a red bell?)

You might want to look at Hide Conversation to see if you would want to make changes there so it is consistent with Mute Group. For example, if you changed Hide Conversation to Mute Conversation, then it could still be displayed, it would not show up in New Conversations, it would not bump the group's activity count and it would have a mute indicator. Something I dislike with current Hide is that you have to Undo hide to see what you hid (a tooltip with conversation . :(

Note: Reposted this to consolidate to one account (I inadvertently created two accounts).

Another use case for this is off topic threads. It would be helpful if a moderator could post a stop sign image with text "off topic - thread locked" so others see that it happened and don't do the same.

It's fine to eventually delete threads that were completely off topic, but leaving them there for a short time is helpful advertising and it gives the author access to copy/paste the post elsewhere.

For threads that completed the on topic discussion, but then wandered off topic, don't delete.

Two of these are already available:
o Phrase search (e.g. "exact search string") is now supported.

o Advanced search fields are presented after a search is performed, which allow you to filter
to a specific group and/or date range.

The others would certainly be helpful though; support logic like AND and NOT, wildcards like * and %.

List of topics (UC1) is now available, via: www.yammer.com/home/topics

Please implement delete (UC2) and merge (UC3) of topics.

Synonym (UC4) sounds helpful, when you can't convince groups or people to align; i.e. herding cats. I would tweak that to allow restricted searching though; e.g. assuming comm and communication were synonyms, a search of comm would match comm and communication, a search of "comm" would only match comm.

I would also like to see a container topic (different than synonym):
o the container is defined as a topic that contains other topics. e.g. animal = dog, cat, goat
o you can add topic animal to a conversation.
o when you search for animal, you get conversations with animal, dog, cat and goat.
o when you search for "animal", you only get conversations with topic animal
(thinking the use of quotation marks is easy to remember, since we often use those
to do an exact phrase search).
