    We have existing tools and governance for creating SharePoint sites and O365 Groups. For consistency, attaching a Yammer Group in the same manner we attach Teams to O365 Groups after site/group creation would provide consistency of governance & administration. Our SPO site & Teams provisioning scripts have the requisite organisational branding & customisation and creating sites/groups from Yammer in the current method is breaking our governance. We want O365-connected Yammer Groups, but we also want it done consistently!

    HI all, we’re considering this as we think about better ways to manage communities and internal comms in Yammer. No timeline yet – but this is something we’d like to tackle.

    Thanks for the suggestion! Unfortunately, this is key part of our product and making it an option would add a lot of complexity with only a small benefit to some users.

    Agreed with others here - as an enterprise with a controlled rollout approach, this forced feature is tacky and confusing. I've just e-mailed a group of users directly and asked them to go and sign-in to Yammer (because I've given them the user guides and they know who their local champion is) - they don't need to invite anyone else, I've just invited them. Should easily be configurable first sign-in experience. Please re-consider for O365-integrated tenants.

    First sign-in: usage policy (yes), invite others pop-up (no), 'get the mobile app' pop-up (no)
